2011年10月からのポンピドゥー・センター（パリ）、2012年1月からの国立国際美術館（大阪）、同年2月からのテート・モダン（ロンドン）等々、各国の美術館で次々と個展を成功させ、2012年にはルイ・ヴィトンとのコラボレーションによって様々なファッションアイテムを世に送り出し、今最も注目を集める日本人アーティストの一人として美術ファンのみならず、広く世間を席巻する人気の草間彌生。
本展では、草間彌生の作品世界をより身近に感じていただく為に当館でコレクションする版画作品を中心に展観すると共に鑑賞して楽しんでいただくだけではなく、会期中希望される方には即売もいたします。この機会に「ファン」から一歩踏み込んで、「コレクター」としてご自宅でも存分に草間彌生の世界に浸っていただきたいと考えております。

After successful exhibitions at Pompidou Centre (Paris) from October 2011, The National Museum of Art, Osaka from January 2012, and Tate Modern (London) from February 2012, Kusama collaborated with Louis Vuitton to produce unique fashion items and has become one of the most popular artists among everyone, not only art fanatics.
The present exhibition introduces Kusama’s world through our collection of her print works. Viewers can also purchase her works on the spot. How about becoming a collector to enjoy her world at home?
